Ready To Get Baptized?

Baptism is a powerful way to show the world around you what God has done on the inside. Jesus was baptized when He was here on earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

FAQ

Q: I HAVE ALREADY BEEN BAPTIZED. CAN I BE BAPTIZED AGAIN?
A: Your baptism should have signified you becoming a follower of Jesus, beginning a new life and uniting you with a new family. If your baptism did not reflect that change of life, then you should be baptized again!

Q: CAN MY CHILD BE BAPTIZED?
A: We will baptize anyone who understands what baptism symbolized and wants to make that personal declaration. We encourage parents to let their children make the decision on their own to take this step in their faith journey. Our TBF Kids ministry has a helpful guide for your children through these decisions of faith!

Q: CAN MY INFANT BE BAPTIZED?
A: The Bible teaches us that baptism is a public expression of worship that symbolizes the new life we have when we follow Jesus. In Luke 2:22-40 we see that Jesus’ parents dedicated him to the Lord as a child, and in Matthew 3:16-17 he was later baptized as an adult. At Trinity Bay Fellowship, we provide the opportunity for Child Dedication which is intended to be a commitment between parents and God on behalf of the child. This is the first step for infants in their faith journey! During our Child Dedication service, parents commit to raise their child in faith until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal confession of Christ by the public declaration of Water Baptism.
