The Stone Was Already Moved
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
- Luke 24:1-2
Have you ever felt like there was an immovable obstacle between you and God? Something so heavy, so permanent that it seemed impossible to overcome? The women who went to Jesus' tomb that first Easter morning probably felt the same way. They were concerned about who would roll away the stone - a legitimate worry given its massive size. But when they arrived, they discovered something amazing: God had already handled their biggest concern. The stone was moved before they even got there. This powerful truth still resonates today. Often, we approach God thinking we need to solve all our problems first, move our own stones, or clean ourselves up. But that's not how God works. He's already at work in our lives, moving stones we don't even know about yet.
Reflection:
What 'stones' in your life have you been trying to move on your own instead of trusting God to handle them?
God showed up way before they did. And God has shown up in your life way before you do.
Prayer
Lord, help me to trust that You are already working in my life, even in areas I can't see yet. Give me faith to believe that no stone is too heavy for You to move. Amen.
