Letting Go of the Old
"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." - Romans 8:11
Have you ever tried to clean up an old, broken item instead of replacing it with something new? Sometimes we do the same thing in our spiritual lives. We try to polish our old ways, habits, and patterns instead of allowing God to create something entirely new. True transformation doesn't come through self-improvement - it comes through surrender and allowing our old self to be buried with Christ.
Reflection Question
What old patterns or habits are you still trying to 'clean up' instead of allowing God to transform them completely?
Resurrection doesn't begin with a better you. It begins with a buried you.
Prayer
Lord, give me the courage to let go of my old ways and trust You to create something new in me. Help me to stop trying to improve what needs to be buried. Amen.
