Walking in New Power

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of His strength." — Ephesians 1:18–19

Have you ever felt like you were doing all the “right” things but still running on empty? Trying harder. Striving more. Setting better goals. Yet somehow, still feeling stuck? That’s because you and I were never meant to live the Christian life by our own strength. God didn’t save you and then leave you to fend for yourself. He infused you with His Spirit—the same power that raised Jesus from the grave!

Walking in resurrection power isn’t about willpower—it’s about surrender. It’s not gritting your teeth and pushing through. It’s admitting, "I can't do this on my own," and leaning into the Spirit of God within you. Resurrection power is about trading striving for abiding, trading exhaustion for empowerment.

Every morning when you wake up, you have a choice: Will I try to push the car uphill by myself? Or will I let the Spirit drive me forward? God's not asking for perfection. He’s asking for dependence.

Reflection Question:
Where in your life are you still trying to live by your own strength instead of walking in God's resurrection power?

You weren't saved to strive—you were saved to soar in His strength.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, teach me to walk in Your power today. Remind me that Your strength is sufficient and that I don't have to strive for what You already secured. Help me to rest in Your ability and move forward by Your resurrection power. Amen.
