Anchored in Unchanging Truth
“Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.” – Leviticus 20:26
In a world where values shift like sand beneath our feet, the truth of God’s Word stands like bedrock. But let’s be honest—holding that line isn't always easy. We’re pressured daily to conform, to edit the uncomfortable parts of Scripture, to redefine love in the name of tolerance. But if we start trimming away the truths that challenge us, we’re not shaping the culture—we're letting the culture shape us.
God’s holiness is not subject to popularity. His design doesn’t morph with the moral mood of the decade. He is holy. He is good. He is unchanging. And because of that, His commands are trustworthy, even when they’re unpopular.
When we stay rooted in Scripture—even when it’s countercultural—we preserve the distinct flavor of the Gospel. Jesus didn’t come to be palatable. He came to be the truth. And truth always disrupts before it redeems.
Our job isn’t to edit God. It’s to exalt Him. We speak truth not to win arguments but to witness to a better way. A holy way. A life-giving way. So today, choose conviction over comfort, clarity over compromise, and courage over cultural applause. The world doesn’t need a watered-down Gospel. It needs Jesus—full of grace and full of truth.
Reflection Question
Where are you most tempted to soften or hide God’s truth in order to avoid conflict—and what might it look like to stand firm with grace?
We aren’t editors of the Bible. We are messengers of a holy God whose truth doesn’t need a rewrite—it needs to be revealed.
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my resolve to stand on Your truth, even when it costs me. Let me speak with both grace and conviction. Help me not to hide behind silence or soften what You’ve declared. Make my life a witness to Your holiness and love. Amen.
