Standing Together
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25
Faith is deeply personal, but it was never meant to be private. Jesus’ disciples didn’t face mountains alone; they walked together, prayed together, and learned together. Even when they failed, like in Matthew 17, they processed that failure as a community and came to Jesus for answers as a group. This is a picture of how God designed His people to live.
One of the greatest lies the enemy tells us is that our faith struggles should be kept hidden. Isolation makes mountains feel bigger and our faith feel smaller. But when we come alongside one another, sharing both our burdens and our victories, we remember that God never intended us to climb alone.
Community doesn’t remove the storms or level the mountains, but it reminds us that Christ is holding us and that others are standing with us. Hebrews 10:24-25 calls us to stir one another up toward love and good works and to not neglect meeting together. Why? Because encouragement fuels endurance.
Mountain-moving faith is not about the size of your personal belief but about the strength of the One who holds us—and the strength of the family He’s placed us in. When one person’s faith feels weak, another’s faith can help carry them. And together, as the body of Christ, we stand firm on the Rock that never shifts.
Reflection Question
Who has God placed in your life to help strengthen your faith, and who might He be calling you to encourage as they face their own mountains?
Faith was never designed to be a solo project. When your faith feels small, you need the faith of your brothers and sisters to remind you that Christ is still enough.
Prayer
Father, thank You for placing me in Your family, the Church. Forgive me for the times I’ve tried to live my faith in isolation. Help me to lean on the encouragement of others and to be an encourager myself. Teach me to stand with my brothers and sisters so that together, we might display a faith that points the world to Jesus. Amen.
