The Cross We Carry

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” - Galatians 2:20

To be crucified with Christ is not a poetic metaphor—it’s a violent reality. It’s the daily death of pride, ego, and self-sufficiency.

The cross you carry is not hypothetical. It will have flesh-and-blood consequences. It will mean denying sinful desires. It will mean walking in purity when culture says it’s irrelevant. It will mean choosing integrity in a world that rewards compromise.

And yet, in carrying the cross, you carry the very life of Christ. His strength in your weakness. His grace in your struggle. His resurrection power pulsing through your frailty.

Reflection Questions:
  • What does carrying your cross look like in this season?
  • Where is God calling you to die to self and live by His power?

Identify a specific area of compromise or comfort you need to crucify. Walk in obedience today, even if it costs you.

Prayer:
Jesus, let my life be a living witness of Your cross. May my dying to self give way to Your life shining through me. Amen.
