Living in Victory
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." – Isaiah 53:5
Easter Sunday might be over, but the resurrection is not a seasonal event—it’s a daily reality. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is now at work in everyone who belongs to Him. That means you’re not just saved for heaven one day—you’re empowered for life today.
But let’s be honest. We don’t always live like that’s true. We live stuck, shamed, afraid, angry. We let our past define us. We let our fear shape us. We forget that the tomb is empty.
The resurrection of Jesus wasn’t just about proving who He is—it was about redefining who we are. You are no longer a slave to sin. You are no longer bound by death. You are no longer under condemnation. You are alive in Christ. You are a new creation. You are victorious—not in your own strength, but in His.
Victory doesn’t always look like winning the argument or getting the promotion. Sometimes, it looks like holding on when everything in you wants to give up. Sometimes it looks like forgiveness. Sometimes it looks like hope in the dark. But it always looks like Jesus.
Resurrection power is not for the extraordinary; it’s for the everyday. You’ve been raised to walk in newness of life. So don’t just remember the empty tomb—live like it changes everything.
Reflection Question:
Are you living more like a prisoner of the past or a person raised in resurrection power?
Quote:
Remember, we don’t fight for victory—we fight from it. The tomb is empty, and so is the devil’s power.
Prayer:
Risen Jesus, thank You that Your victory is my victory. Forgive me when I live like I’m still in chains. Help me to walk boldly, humbly, and joyfully in the power of Your resurrection. In Your victorious name, Amen.
