Living with Renewed Purpose
For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do. - Ephesians 2:8-10
You weren’t just saved from something—you were saved for something. God didn’t redeem you so you could live a life of hesitation or spiritual survival. He created you in Christ Jesus for good works, prepared in advance for you to walk in. That means your life has purpose that’s already been planned. You don’t have to create it—you just have to walk in it.
This is where all the seeking, praying, and trusting come together. As you draw near to God, listen for His voice, trust His leadership, and surrender your will—He begins to lead you into those “good works.” You’ll start to see opportunities to serve, love, encourage, and lead that you may have missed before. And every step of obedience—no matter how small—is part of that purpose.
Your life matters. Your faithfulness matters. You are His workmanship.
Reflection Questions:
God didn’t save you to sit still—He saved you to walk in purpose.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving my life meaning and purpose beyond anything I could dream up. Help me to see the opportunities around me today. Give me the courage to walk in obedience and the joy of knowing I’m part of Your plan. Amen.
